Cory Fowler is an experienced Developer who has focused on ASP.NET, C#, Dot Net Nuke, Silverlight and Programming Best Practices. Cory holds a Computer Programmer Analyst Diploma from Humber College, is studying for MCTS Certification for Client-Based Web Development and Application Development Foundation, and has been a speaker at Tech Days 2009 as well as other Development Community groups. Recent accomplishments include starting up a Coffee & Code chapter in Guelph as well as helping to revitalize the CTTDNUG .Net User Group in Kitchener-Waterloo.

During the course of the presentation you will learn the benefits of cloud computing, and how to leverage the features of Windows Azure. We will start by creating a Web Role (Web Application) using the Developer Fabric to simulate the cloud environment on our local machine. Next we will upgrade our application and add the ability to store data using Developer Storage and modifying the Service Configuration file. We will also cover debugging an application in the cloud as well as creating a background process using worker roles.
