Anatomy of a large Django site
The Mozilla addons site (http://addons.mozilla.org) hosts addons for Mozilla products, including Firefox. The addons site gets a large amount of traffic and this talk covers how the site has been built.
There is special focus on: how traffic impacts the site development, specific reusable modules from the site and localisation of the site.
The site was a conversion from CakePHP and now serves about 120 million web requests per month and 1.4 million visitors per day.

Andy is a developer at Mozilla, where he works on Django sites. He's been doing Django and Python for quite a while and likes talking for ages about how awesome they are. Before Django Andy worked on Plone and even wrote a book about it, but that's not as cool anymore.
