HTML5
Même si plusieurs parties du HTML5 ne sont pas encore matures, HTML5 est maintenant un incontournable. C’est la solution d’avenir lorsque nous parlons du Web, du mobile, les tablettes et même de Windows 8. Tout converge vers HTML5 pour les interfaces utilisateurs (sauf peut-être les applications natives, et encore). Même si HTML5 n’est pas encore la solution à tout, il est temps de regarder ce qu’il nous offre, ses avantages, les défis qui y sont reliés et les impacts sur notre travail et nos projets.
Lors de ce cours, nous allons premièrement regarder ce qui est possible de faire, puis faire la part entre les exagérations marketing et la réalité. Nous allons ensuite regarder les nouveaux éléments et fonctionnalités d’HTML5, ses différences avec HTML4, si nous pouvons les utiliser dès maintenant dans notre travail et dans quelles situations. Nous allons regarder les possibilités qu’offrent CSS3, les nouvelles APIs ouvertes et comment mieux organiser notre code Javascript. Nous verrons aussi quelques éléments reliés à l’accessibilité en HTML5, comme ARIA et les sous-titres vidéo.

Diving into Symfony2 Advanced Features
The Symfony2 framework adoption is becoming bigger and bigger and most of Symfony developers would like to know more about advanced features of the framework. This special Confoo workshop will help you dive deeply in advanced features and best practices you probably don't master. We will especially focus on demystifiing and experimenting the famous dependency injection principle and the associated Container object. Then, we will have a closer look at the security layer that provides authentication and authorization mechanisms with a fined grained ACL system. This session will also introduce some of the key concepts of HTTP caching using a reverse proxy like Varnish and handling Edge Side Includes. Of course, you will discover how to test the application to ensure its reliability and long lasting. Depending on the remaining time at our disposal, we will focus on some other cool features of the framework like forms handling, validation, internationalization, Twig extension or database intregration. To make this workshop the most efficient and practical for every one, we will hack on an existing Symfony2 application instead of starting from scratch. Don't forget to bring your laptop with you!
Sécurité Web PHP
L’avancement du PHP et de ses différents cadre d’applications disponibles permet maintenant de créer des applications stables et sécuritaires. Cependant, plusieurs détails et bonne pratiques doivent être appliqués dans le but d’obtenir une application sécuritaire comme résultat final. Souvent, on oublie et parfois la bonne solution n’est pas évidente.
Cet atelier amènera le participant à connaître les différentes méthodes de programmation sécuritaire en PHP ainsi que dans Drupal, Symfony et Zend. Le tout sera transmit avec une emphase sur l’impact d’une attaque, puisque chaque risque sera démontré avec une simulation. L’objectif final est donc d’apprendre comment briser et réparer une application Web PHP dans la réalité d’aujourd’hui.
Le participant cible est parmi les développeurs PHP qui ne sont pas déjà conscient des méthodes sécuritaires et/ou veulent un aperçu de la perspective d’un attaquant.
PHP Web Security
The advancement of PHP and its available frameworks can now enable us to create stable and secure applications. But many details and good practices measures must be implemented in order to procude a secure application in the end. As it is often the case, we forget and the solution is not that simple.
This workshop will lead the participant to understand the different methods of secure programming in PHP and also in Drupal, Symfony and Zend. All of this workshop’s information will be transmitted with an emphasis on the impact of an attack, because each risk will be demonstrated with a simulation. The final goal is to learn how to break and fix a PHP Web application in today’s reality.
The target attendee is a PHP developer that is not already aware of security methods and/or want to have an overview of the attacker’s perspective.
