Database 101

So what is a database and why can't I just put all my data into some sort of blob? This session will cover the basics of how relational databases work, where they are (and are not) efficient, how to best use them, and the steps to go from a novice to an intermediate user quickly. Very few developers have any database training and then wonder why the queries they write perform poorly. This session will provide you with a high level overview.
