Gestural Color Spaces with Node.js
RGB, CMYK, HSV, HSL… We have a lot of ways to write code about colors. One thing they all have in common is that they define a space with more than two dimensions. In this talk we'll experiment with the 3D nature of color spaces using a Leap Motion gesture tracker, some smart light bulbs, and lots of JavaScript. Along the way we'll talk a bit about color theory and a bit about why Node is well-suited to this sort of exploration.

Daniel Luxemburg is CTO at Bandwagon, a taxi sharing start-up based in Brooklyn. Daniel has been working on location-aware web and mobile applications for the past five years. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant on emerging technology trends for clients including Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies. In his spare time he enjoys restoring old computers, playing with new types of hardware, and reading books.
