Adopting new design and design systems into legacy products
In this talk, we will be discussing strategies for integrating new design directions and design systems into existing, legacy products. We will deep dive into strategies in working collaboratively with design teams, technical tools like feature flags and Storybook, and how to overcome technical debt and resistance to change. We will also visit case studies on successful migrations and their strategies.

Cheryl is a Toronto-based engineering manager at CoLab Software, where she leads engineering teams to deliver complex, high quality features. She is passionate about empowering teams to be high performing using empathy-driven leadership and promoting positive team culture. As for her technical background, Cheryl specializes in front-end development, design, design systems and UI architecture which has lead her to her other passion of bridging the gap between design and development teams.
