The New CSS Layout
CSS Layout in 2016 is a mess of hacked together methods using techniques that were never designed for complex web and application layout. However change is in the air, brought to us by specifications such as CSS Grid Layout, Flexbox, and the Box Alignment Module. In this session Rachel will introduce these specifications, explaining how they fit together to create a new system for layout.

Rachel Andrew lives in Bristol, England. She is one half of the company behind Perch CMS. Her day to day work can include anything from product development to devops to CSS, and she writes about all of these subjects on her blog at rachelandrew.co.uk.
Rachel has been working on the web since 1996 and writing about the web for almost as long. Her books include the recent Get Ready for CSS Grid Layout. She is a Google Developer Expert and an Invited Expert on the CSS Working Group.
