Proposals - Vancouver 2017

Stream Processing with Kafka Streams and Ruby

Kafka is a highly scalable, highly available, low-latency stream data system. Kafka Streams is a new stream processing (SP) library that makes SP much more accessible than other options. Kafka Streams is a Java lib but it turns out to work quite well with JRuby. I’ll introduce stream data and SP, show my approach, share lessons learned, and discuss my ideas for the future of SP on JRuby.
